This exhibition will truly bring the past, present and future wishes for our town to life.
It will feature the photographs and memorabilia of old St Columb, courtesy of the Old Cornwall Society, and paintings of how the town is seen today.
Accompanying this there will be a sound track of some of St Columbs longest established. residents' memories of how life was and has changed over the years. Also the children of St Columb Major academy will share their impressions of present day St Columb and their hopes for the future.
The recording will take plave in May at a special Memory Day event that will be open to all residents who wish to add a memory. This will be led by professor Garry Tregidga of the Cornwall Audio Visual Archive.
CD copies of this unique recording will be available to purchase.
Friday 25th August
The Town Hall 6.00 pm - 8.00 pm
To round off the event there will be an auction of St Columb Major themed paintings. This will be hosted by local Auctioneer Donald Weekes.
All the paintings can be viewed in the town hall from the 21st during the Heritege exhibition. They will also be included in an online auction format for previewing and to attract some early bids with the artists donating the profits from sales to the Our Town fund.
